Where to find your Chevrolet paint colour code
Your Chevrolet's paint code is on the plate under the bonnet or in the door jamb, or in the glovebox on US models. Here's where to look, what the code looks like, and how to find your colour if it's missing.

Where to look on your Chevrolet
- European models (Aveo, Cruze, Spark and others). Check the plate under the bonnet or in the door jamb for a three-character code marked Paint, like
GAR(Carbon Flash). - Glovebox. Look for the white Service Parts Identification label on the inside of the glovebox lid or wall. It's covered in three-character option codes.
- Boot. On older models the same label is on the spare wheel cover or under the boot floor.
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors, for a label or plate. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
What the code looks like
On the Service Parts Identification label, look for the code after BC/CC or WA, such as WA8555 for black, or a three-character code starting with G among the option codes, such as GB8 (Mosaic Black). The rest of the label is option codes, which you can ignore.

- Chevrolet stopped selling cars in the UK in 2015. For European models like the Aveo, Cruze and Spark, a Vauxhall dealer's Parts department can often look up the colour from the VIN.
- Search by colour. If you know the colour name or roughly what colour it is, filter our Chevrolet colour codes by colour and year to narrow it down.
