Where to find your Lexus paint colour code
Your Lexus's paint code is on the identification plate in the driver's door jamb. Here's where to look, what the code looks like, and how to find your colour if it's missing.

Where to look on your Lexus
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors, for a label or plate. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
- Under the bonnet. On older models the plate is on the bulkhead at the back of the engine bay.
- Service book. Some cars have a copy of the label, or the colour written in, at the front of the service book.
What the code looks like
Lexus uses the same three-character codes as Toyota, such as 212 (Black), 077 (Premium White) or 1J7 (Sonic Titanium). Ignore anything after the slash: that's the interior trim code.

One paint. It dries to a gloss finish, so no lacquer is needed.

Metallic, pearl and most modern colours
Basecoat, then clear lacquer over the top. Matt colours need a matt lacquer instead.
