Where to find your Toyota paint colour code
Your Toyota's paint code is on the identification plate in the driver's door jamb. Here's where to look, what the code looks like, and how to find your colour if it's missing.

Where to look on your Toyota
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors, for a label or plate. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
- Under the bonnet. On older Toyotas the plate is on the bulkhead at the back of the engine bay or on the front slam panel.
- Service book. Some cars have a copy of the label, or the colour written in, at the front of the service book.
What the code looks like
Toyota paint codes are three characters, letters and numbers, such as 040 (Super White), 1G3 (Magnetic Grey) or 218 (Attitude Black). Ignore anything after the slash: that's the interior trim code.

- Call your local Toyota dealership, ask for the Parts department, and give them your registration or VIN. They can look up the factory colour code.
- Search by colour. If you know the colour name or roughly what colour it is, filter our Toyota colour codes by colour and year to narrow it down.

One paint. It dries to a gloss finish, so no lacquer is needed.

Basecoat, then clear lacquer over the top. Matt colours need a matt lacquer instead.
