Where to find your Genesis paint colour code
Your Genesis's paint code is on a label in the driver's door jamb. Here's where to look, what the code looks like, and how to find your colour if it's missing.

Where to look on your Genesis
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors, for a label or plate. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
What the code looks like
Genesis uses Hyundai-style three-character codes, such as PH3 (Black Sapphire), FT7 (Matterhorn White) or SSS (Shooting Star).

What you’ll need
Once you have the code, the finish tells you what to order. Genesis colours fall into these groups:
Single-stage
Solid colours
One paint. It dries to a gloss finish, so no lacquer is needed.
3 Genesis colours
Two-stage
Metallic, pearl and most modern colours
Basecoat, then clear lacquer over the top. Matt colours need a matt lacquer instead.
65 Genesis colours
Three-stage
Pearl tri-coat colours
Basecoat, a pearl mid-coat, then clear lacquer. Order both paints together so they match.
