Where to find your Honda paint colour code
Honda prints its paint code along the bottom of the certification label in the driver's door jamb, under the barcode. Here's where to look, how to read the label, and how to search for your code.

Where to look on your Honda
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
- Under the bonnet. On some models the label is on the bulkhead at the back of the engine bay or on a suspension mount.
How to read the label
The top of the label is the manufacturer, build date, weights, tyre sizes and VIN, which you can ignore. The paint code is on the bottom line, under the barcode. It's the code that starts with a dash and mixes letters and numbers. The shorter codes after it are for the interior.
Honda paint codes are letters followed by numbers, often ending in P (pearl) or M (metallic). The letters give the colour family: NH for whites, silvers, greys and blacks, R for reds, B for blues, YR for oranges and browns. For example, NH731P is Crystal Black Pearl and R81 is Milano Red.

If the label's missing, unreadable or painted over after a respray, you've still got options:
- Ask a dealer. Call your local Honda dealership, ask for the Parts department, and give them your registration or VIN. They can look up the factory colour code.
- Search by colour. If you know roughly what colour it is, filter our Honda colour codes by colour and year to narrow it down.
