Where to find your Mercury paint colour code
Your Mercury's paint code is on a label in the driver's door jamb. Here's where to look, what the code looks like, and how to find your colour if it's missing.

Where to look on your Mercury
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors, for a label or plate. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
What the code looks like
Mercury was a Ford brand and uses Ford's two-character US codes, such as UA (Black) or YN (Silver).

Solid colours
One paint. It dries to a gloss finish, so no lacquer is needed.
132 Mercury colours
Two-stage
Metallic, pearl and most modern colours
Basecoat, then clear lacquer over the top. Matt colours need a matt lacquer instead.

Three-stage
Pearl tri-coat colours
Basecoat, a pearl mid-coat, then clear lacquer. Order both paints together so they match.
