Where to find your Nissan paint colour code
Nissan prints its paint code on the manufacturer plate in the door jamb, next to the trim code. Here's where to look, how to read the plate, and how to search for your code.

Where to look on your Nissan
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
- Under the bonnet. On older models the plate is often on the slam panel across the front of the engine bay, or on an inner wing.
How to read the plate
The top of the plate is the VIN and the vehicle weights, which you can ignore. The paint code is along the bottom, after the words Colour, Trim (just Colour on some plates). It's the first three characters, and whatever comes after it is the interior trim code.
Nissan paint codes are three letters and numbers, for example QAB (pearl white), KH3 (black) or KAD (grey metallic).

Can't find the plate?
If the plate's missing, unreadable or painted over after a respray, you've still got options:
- Ask a dealer. Call your local Nissan dealership, ask for the Parts department, and give them your registration or VIN. They can look up the factory colour code.
