Where to find your Vauxhall paint colour code
Vauxhall prints its paint code on the manufacturer plate in the door jamb, after the letter Z. Here's where to look, how to read the plate, and how to search for your code.

Where to look on your Vauxhall
- Door jamb. Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar, the upright between the front and rear doors. If it's not there, try the passenger side.
- Under the bonnet. On older models the plate is often on the slam panel across the front of the engine bay, or on an inner wing.
How to read the plate
The top of the plate is the VIN and the vehicle weights, which you can ignore. The paint code is on the bottom line, after the letter Z, and the codes that follow it are for the interior trim. Leave the Z off when you search: it just marks where the paint code starts.
Most Vauxhall paint codes are three characters, like 40R (Olympic White) or 22C (Carbon Flash). Newer models built alongside Peugeot and Citroën use three-letter codes instead, such as EPR (Kaolin White).
